Our story
Built for the neighbourhood beside the dam
Damside Community Clinic opened in 2011 in two rented rooms. Fifteen years on, we're still on the same road — just with more hands, and a longer memory of the families we've treated.
How we started
Damside sits between Weija and Gbawe, where the community grew up around the reservoir long before the nearest hospital did. Dr. Esi Amoah started this clinic with one consulting room and a single nurse, treating malaria and delivering babies out of a rented storefront on Damside Road.
The clinic has since added a laboratory, an on-site pharmacy, and a small maternity waiting area — but the aim hasn't changed: keep the first, and most common, kind of care within walking distance.

Care first
No one is turned away for lack of funds without a plan to help them.
Held to a standard
Registered and inspected by the Ghana Health Service, with protocols we review yearly.
